Reusable Drill Tip
Patented Flap System for sustainable, efficient, and safe Full Displacement Pile (FDP) techniques
Transform your foundation projects with Olivier’s reusable drill tip, enabled by the patented Flap System, representing the future of CO₂-neutral construction. This system eliminates the need for lost drill tips, resulting in significant material savings and a substantial reduction in CO₂ emissions. Workplace safety is improved by significantly reducing the risk of accidents while allowing more precise pile positioning. Thanks to its compatibility with various Olivier piling systems and corresponding pile diameters, this reusable drill tip provides a sustainable and efficient solution for both foundation piles and ground improvement.
Reusable Drill Tip by Olivier – the key to CO₂-neutral construction
Each year, approximately 150,000 full displacement piles are installed in Belgium. Traditionally, a lost drill tip is required to close the drilling tube in order to prevent soil and water from entering the tube. Olivier introduces a decisive solution: a reusable drill tip, enabled by a patented Flap System, making the use of lost drill tips definitively redundant. This system with a reusable tip not only increases sustainability, but also offers clear advantages, making it an environmentally responsible and economically sound choice for the construction sector.
This system, in conjunction with the appropriate foundation machine, enables emission-free foundation construction, marking a significant step in sustainable building techniques. It enhances drilling efficiency and encourages the use of reusable materials, significantly reducing CO2 emissions. Thus, Olivier establishes itself as a pioneer in the transition towards a greener construction industry.
More benefits
The use of the reusable drill tip in Full Displacement Piles (FDP) delivers considerably more than cost and material savings alone. Users experience significantly more accurate positioning of the auger during execution. In addition, site safety is substantially improved: the risk of workplace accidents is drastically reduced, as manual placement of a lost drill tip beneath the auger is no longer required.

The Olivier system stands out with its unique ability to effortlessly place full reinforcement and concrete during drilling. Unlike other flap systems that obstruct the placement of full reinforcement through the drill pipe, the Olivier system allows for unimpeded passage. This positions it as an exceptionally efficient choice, significantly ahead of market alternatives.

The Olivier Flap System is available in three sizes, including a version with a 210mm (8¼″) opening for smaller pile diameters, applied to Olivier piles d31/51 (12″/20″) and Olivier DPA d31 (12″), a medium variant with a 250mm (10″) opening for standard pile diameters, used for Olivier piles from d36/56 (14″/22″) and Olivier DPA from d36 (14″), and a larger version with a 300mm (12″) opening for large pile diameters, designed for the largest auger heads. This allows Olivier’s reusable auger tip to be precisely matched to the required pile diameter within displacement foundation techniques.
In addition, the reusable auger tip by Olivier, in combination with the Olivier pile, results in a significant reduction in concrete consumption and ensures that no soil is brought to the surface. This provides a strong economic and ecological advantage within the construction industry.
