Construction first Olivier piling machine

Historic moment of the Olivier Piling Machine 84 being set upright for the first time in the Rumbeke workshop during its assembly.

This is the birth of the first Olivier piling machine, in the late 1980s. Everything was drawn on the shelf, without a computer. The machine was completely built in a workshop without overhead crane where everything was welded and put together with a forklift. The parts were largely made at Mol RMC.

The machine was named “84” and is still in use after 35,000 running hours.
