Once the plugs have been removed, the cylindrical coupling parts can be rotated relative to each other to release the connection. The rounded CD plugs follow the outer radius of the coupling. This limits protruding parts and their exposure to wear.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The plug openings are closed on the inside of the male part. For closed systems using pressurised concrete or grout, the coupling is fitted with a suitable seal.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The number of CD plugs and the overlap length depend on the configuration. The connection uses 16 plugs, held in place by bolts.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After removing the plugs, the cylindrical parts can be rotated relative to each other to release the coupling. Correct assembly, lubrication and maintenance remain important.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The size is stated using the actual dimensions. For example: an Olivier coupling with an outside diameter of \u00d8352 mm and a clear internal diameter of \u00d8250 mm, for \u00d8324 mm drilling pipes.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group oc-section is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Clear passage for concrete and reinforcement<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cylindrical coupling provides a large clear internal passage. This is important when placing a reinforcement cage through the drilling pipes and when supplying concrete.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In an open concrete system, the passage remains accessible from above for reinforcement and concrete supply. For a closed system, the configuration is adapted to the supply of pressurised concrete or grout, including the necessary seals.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Olivier couplings are used in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.olivier.inc\/en\/tools\/olivier-pile\/\">Olivier pile<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.olivier.inc\/en\/tools\/olivier-dpa\/\">Olivier DPA<\/a> systems.
